Tour Nr. 06 Snow-Shoe Tour/Karwendel Range
Description: (2 day tour)
Snow-shoe tour in mostly moderately sloping terrain. It requires a good physically condition but no technical experience in snow-shoeing is necessary. The hiking hours mentioned is an average calculated with only little amounts of new snow. We overnight in the winter room of a hut by the DAV (German Alpine Association).
Seasons: December - May
Capabilities: Good fitness level for up to 5-6 hours of hiking with an approximately 15 kg rucksack. The tour is suitable for beginners and youth over 14 years of age.
Day 1: About 6 hours (15 km) for an elevation ascent of 900 m. ▲
Day 2: About 6 hours (16 km) for an elevation descent of 900 m. ▼
Participants: Min. 2 max. 6
Services: Tour guide, half board
Price: 165 Euros per person
Alternative I offer this tour between March and May as an outdoors tour, where we sleep in hammocks in the open. Cooking will be over an open fire. For this tour your sleeping bag should guarantee a comfort range of about 0° Celcius.
Extras: Hammocks supplied free of charge. Snow-shoes can be rented for an additional 15 Euros per day. For an additional 20 Euros we can offer a pick-up and ride service depending on the tour and your pick-up point.
