Tour Nr. 04 Karwendel Range Crossing
Description: (3 day tour)
From Scharnitz to the source of the Isar river and then over the Birkkar summit and Bärnalpl to Mittenwald. Sleeping in Hammocks in the open. We cook over an open fire.
Summit: Birkkar summit 2749 m
Seasons: June - October
Capabilities: Sure footedness and a good level of fitness is a must.
Day 1: 2 - 3 hours for an elevation ascent of 230 m. ▲
Day 2: 7 – 8 hours for an elevation ascent of 1550 m ▲ and a descent of 1050 m. ▼
Day 3: 5 – 6 hours for an elevation ascent of 300 m ▲ and a descent of 1100 m. ▼
Participants: Min. 2 max. 6
Services: Tour guide, half board, transfer from Mittenwald to Scharnitz.
Price: 200 Euros per person
Extras: Hammocks supplied free of charge.
For an additional 20 Euros we can offer a pick-up and ride service depending on the tour and your pick-up point. We can naturally meet your additional requirements or special requests, by organizing individual tours with full consultancy throughout the year (e.g. full-moon tours, snow-shoe tours etc.).
